For the past 12 years, since we took charge of the walled garden, we have wanted to replace the derelict and rotting Victorian vine House. This year we were able to do this. The old Vicotorian Vines that had managed to survive years of being open to the elemants, as seen in these images. They are now warm and cosy as well as thriving in their new home, the evidence is the bunches of delicious grapes that we are currently harvesting. This wonderful building offers a lot of space for teaching. During the restoration of this interesting building we were lucky enough to unearth two huge brick built water storage tanks. They are our next restoration project, so they can be utilised to provide water for the garden.
